Our story
In 2025, Andy and Beth were sent with a planting team from St Werburgh’s Church in Chorlton to revitalise William Temple Church.
“We believe the best days for Wythenshawe are still ahead, and we’re honoured to play a part in that story.”
William Temple Church, Wythenshawe has been a beacon of hope in our community for decades. Named after the renowned Archbishop William Temple, who championed social justice and believed deeply in the power of community transformation, we carry forward his legacy of faith in action.
Located in the heart of Wythenshawe, the church has witnessed the changing seasons of our neighbourhood, times of growth and times of challenge. But the calling is clear: to be a place where everyone can encounter the love of Jesus, discover their unique purpose, and find genuine community.
Today, we are more passionate than ever about the Garden City vision: seeing our community restored, renewed and flourishing.

Life is better together. Church is not just a Sunday gathering; it is a family where authentic relationships flourish. Through small groups, community projects or simply sharing a meal, we create spaces where everyone belongs and can grow in faith alongside others.
