A church committed to loving Jesus, discovering purpose, and building community
In 2025, Andy, Beth and the planting team were sent from St. Werburgh’s church, Chorlton to revitalise William Temple Church.
William Temple Church Wythenshawe has been a beacon of hope in our community for decades. Named after the renowned Archbishop William Temple, who championed social justice and believed deeply in the power of community transformation, we carry forward his legacy of faith in action.
Located in the heart of Wythenshawe, William Temple Church has witnessed the changing seasons of our neighbourhood — times of growth and times of challenge. But the calling is clear clear: to be a place where everyone can encounter the love of Jesus, discover their unique purpose, and find genuine community
Today, we’re more passionate than ever about the Garden City vision—seeing our community restored, renewed, and flourishing. We believe the best days for Wythenshawe are still ahead, and we’re honored to play a part in that story.
At the heart of everything we do is a deep love for Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing Him personally transforms everything—how we live, how we love, and how we serve. Through vibrant worship, authentic prayer, and engaging with Scripture, we cultivate a living relationship with Jesus that overflows into every area of life.
We believe that God has uniquely designed each person with specific gifts, passions, and a calling. Our commitment is to help everyone discover who God created them to be and the difference they're meant to make in the world. Through courses, mentoring, and opportunities to serve, we help people step into their God-given purpose.
We're convinced that life is better together. Church isn't just a Sunday gathering—it's a family where authentic relationships flourish. Whether through small groups, community projects, or simply sharing a meal, we're committed to creating spaces where everyone belongs, is valued for who they are, and can grow in faith alongside others.
